La actriz y cantante de 17 años de edad dio detalles sobre este disco a USA Today y sobre lo que sintió al grabarlo.

“[Es] definitivamente pop, pero con un borde de rock alternativo. Es el tipo de música que uno ama escuchar en el coche con las ventanas abiertas. “

Emily compartió además que el grabar este disco fue un sueño hecho realidad:

Creo que a muchos les pasa algo extraño en la cabeza cuando escuchan “Ice Cream Freeze” de Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana.

¿También eres amigo de Miley Cyrus en la vida real?

Ella ha sido mi amiga desde el primer día en Hannah. Hablamos todo el tiempo. Ella es una chica loca. Ella sólo me envía mensajes, me llama y empieza a cantar sin ninguna razón.
Ese es el tipo de relación que tenemos. Es una cosa como un hermano-hermana. Ella me llama para ayudarle cuando pasa por ciertas cosas con su chico, y tratamos de entenderlo. Paso el rato con ella, y esperamos hacer todo lo mejor.

¿Eres fan del tipo de chico con el que ella sale este momento?

Hubo mucha polémica en torno a eso. Uhh, ehhh. Ehhh, lo que sea. No lo sé. No me preguntes. Eso es demasiado para mí, ¿sabes?
No quiero decir nada malo porque creo que ella es una chica dulce. Ellos son grandes, gente muy sana. Por lo tanto, no estoy preocupado por él. No sé si estoy de acuerdo con ella. Él tiene 21. Quiero que salga con alguien que sea de su edad.

¿Está escribiendo su música basada en sus experiencias?

Claro, definitivamente. Sé que encontrarás un montón de músicos que dicen, ‘la canción es acerca de esta niña que rompió mi corazón y bla, bla, bla. Mira, es un poco diferente para mí. Crecí siendo un actor, de modo que cuando escribo me gusta inventar una historia. No tiene que ser cierto, pero es como un personaje que estoy haciendo un papel.

¿Tu corte de cabello es parte de una nueva imagen?

Todos se extrañan sobre mí, porque yo no le dije a nadie que iba a hacerlo. Acabo de cortarme y teñirlo negro. Es hora de un cambio. Creo que es un buen cambio. Mucha gente me dice que me parezco a Jared Leto en Requiem por un Sueño. Eso es probablemente una persona terrible para compararlo conmigo porque era un personaje loco, pero su mirada era fría.

Mientras usted no obtendrías marcas en su brazo, no es bien visto por Disney (Jared tenía tatuajes en sus brazos).

Sí, no, no, no. Es sólo por su cabello.

Con tanto que pasa en su vida ahora mismo, ¿cómo te mantienes concentrado en sus sueños?

Esto es lo que me gusta hacer, esta es mi pasión .. Yo nací en esto.

¿Vas a alejarte de la actuación para dedicarte por completo a la música?

Tengo cosas que van paralelas, pero ahora quiero realmente impulsar la música. He estado actuando toda mi vida, pero empiezo como músico. Yo nunca quería mostrarlo.
Para ser completamente honesto con ustedes, yo no quería ser otro chico de disney que hace música. Un día, mi hermano mayor dijo: ‘Usted debería hacerlo’. Ahora tengo su ayuda para hacerlo bien. No es sólo el canal de Disney. Tengo a todos mis amigos aydándome, no sólo Oliver Oken.

Tras un largo día en el set de su popular programa “Hannah Montana”, Miley Cyrus optó por una deliciosa cena en Burbank anoche (18 de mayo).

Acompañada por su madre Tish, la cantante de “7 Things” y “Fly on the Wall” hizo su camino a El restaurante Casa de humo, sonriendo para los paparazzi…. como siempre…. Miss Sonrisas…. se parece a mi sobrina quien para sonriente todo el santo día….
